Saturday 6th July at midday, Cavendish Square

A great opportunity to capture the joyful spirit of Pride through its world famous London Parade, this workshop is perfect for those of you who are into street photography, reportage style but also portraits, fashion and people in general.

In addition to professional advice and technical direction, you'll get to spend a fun day with fellow photographer enthusiasts and maybe get over that shyness that always holds you back from approaching people. Let's do this together!

All cameras welcome including camera phones; I would advise not to carry too much weight and focus on capturing the moment rather than juggle lenses in the crowd, so if you have a 'go-to' lens covering a greater focal length, that's your best choice for the day. The tour is expected to last about 4 hours.

We'll be meeting at midday (when the Parade starts from Portland Place) outside the Phoenix pub in Cavendish Square (please see below) to find a good viewing spot before the Parade hits the more crowded areas around Oxford Circus, Piccadilly and Trafalgar.

After shooting some of the Parade - which goes on until about 5.30pm - we'll head to Soho to visit 3 different performance stages in Leicester Square (the Diva Stage), Dean Street (Cabaret Stage) and Soho Square (Community Village). This will be a brilliant occasion as well to shoot the colourful punters and try to catch the true spirit of Pride.

We aim to finish our tour in Trafalgar Square, near the Parade's ending point, where usually the day is celebrated with a mixture of celebrities , community acts and Pride's got Talent's finalists.

To make sure we can easily stick together, I'm aiming to keep the numbers low so please book early to avoid disappointment. Bring a friend and you both get £10 off!
